My practice explores the expressive possibilities of material through surface, texture, and restrained color. Working primarily with pumice, layered pigments, and natural mineral-based mediums, each body of work begins with a different question, allowing the material itself to guide the process and shape the final composition.

I'm Gintarė Bandinskaitė, a Lithuanian-born artist based in Los Angeles. Growing up in the Lithuanian countryside fostered an early sensitivity to landscape, material, and the beauty of weathered surfaces. That influence continues to shape my work today, though my paintings are less concerned with depicting a place than with exploring how material itself can create depth, atmosphere, and presence.
